------------------------------------------------------- Title : MonsoonsUI.dsres Author(s) : Monsoon Purpose : Allow interface for renaming characters and other assorted commands Copyright © 2004 Monsoon, All rights reserved. Credits : Kaikopere of Team Elemental for their UITutorial posted at www.siegeworks.org sjr for testing Xaa for renaming help a long time ago ------------------------------------------------------- Due to popular demand, I've produced this .dsres file for renaming your character while in-game. There are a few instructions on it's usage. First, it is only for LoA. It will do nothing in other versions of DS or related sieglets. Like any mod, this file is to be placed in: Program FilesMicrosoft GamesDungeon SiegeDSLOA As usual, I do not recommend using this mod with other mods due to potential conflicts. I do not foresee any likely conflict, but you never know, do you? Instructions: This mod will add a button to the Data Bar that will allow access to a user interface. This interface may have many uses. This instance is primarily for renaming your char while in-game. Now, what happens in MP when you execute the SSetScreenName command, it doesn't actually rename your existing char, but rather it creates a new one that is identical to the old one, but with the new name. It does nothing to the original character. Remember to select the new character the next time you start a game. Something to note about MP is that if you are not the host of the game, when you change your name it will not update on other screens than your own. If you are the host, it will update on all screens. In SP, the effect is transparant as you are the save process is different. If you have any questions about this utility or it's uses, feel free to drop me a line at: erohlf@earthlink.net Good luck Monsoon §
