A character is able to reach a max level of 300 on all attributes and skills. It's really a max level of 270 through gaining experience, plus, a max 30 points of bonuses to total 300.
I also tweaked some other game settings, like:
- easy game isn't as easy as it used to be
- all enemies now have much more HP, & dish out much more XP points, and both these stats increase substantially with more players playing (only works in multiplay)
- any levelling up done after level 1 is a little quicker than it used to be.
With the extra XP tweaks, a character can reach the next level faster, and, perhaps, reach level 300. ;)
