Use the map as a testing ground for balancing player skill level to custom monster ability level. In other words - the map lets you play test the custom monsters you are creating.

Battle Arena Readme.txt

Battle Arena for DS version 1.09 Beta By: Trailstorm-Radeem trailstorm@onebox.com INSTRUCTIONS put the file: BattleArena.dsmap in your maps folder put the file: ArenaResource.dsres in your Resource folder INTRODUCTION Battle Arena is a map for testing custom monsters - it includes rings altered to turn normal farm girls and boys into level 10,20,30, or 50 masters of any of the 4 skills (with the correct stats as well) - it includes 4 vendors (3 smiths/ 1 priest) - it includes some SE-Template enhanced krug - lots of fun. - it will be upgraded eventually into a serious adventure region DETAILS Well this is a map-designers map. The object is to use the map as a testing ground for balancing player skill level to custom monster ability level. In other words - the map lets you play test the custom monsters you are creating. What makes Battle Arena useful IMO is that it comes with 16 rings magically altered to duplicate the stats a normal character would have if he or she had attained the level of the ring and 4 vendors. Included are: rings for melee skill - levels 10,20,30,50 rings for ranged skill - levels 10,20,30,50 rings for combat magic skill - levels 10,20,30,50 rings for nature magic skill - levels 10,20,30,50 a spell and potion vendor (all items cost 0 gold) 3 weapons vendors of different ranges of requirements (also 0 gold) Every ring has the correct stats added for a purist of such a skill level and a modifier that virtually makes experience gaining impossible (exp gains could happen way too fast for testing purposes otherwise) Every ring is neatly located in the corner of the map. The vendors should make it easy to equip your test characters (you can buy any item they sell - which is pretty fun) Have fun and check out the Krug I included to demonstrate some SE-edited Monsters :)
